Hi my tank is been running for almost 2 years now. I recently noticed my toadstool looking a bit off. But every now and then he would look funny I was told its getting rid of waste and will be back to normal in a day or 2. I woke this morning and my water is very cloudy and everything's dead. What would have caused this please anyone.

Hard to tell you want might have killed everything without more info. Temp, salinity, amm? Anything recently added/changed?

No nothing is new. I woke up and the waster was so cloudy I couldn't see. Fish were on top nearly alive but soon died. What could have caused the cloudy water

How often do you change the water? What type of filtration? Anything die in there that you didn't notice? An anemone maybe? That would wipe out a tank...

I would suspect the toadstool. They can give off toxins when stressed, and a nitrate level of 10 ppm could have done that.
