Colt Coral w/serious problem..please help!

Please see the attached pic...this purple colt coral is not doing well at all. I'm not sure what to do at this point...if I can do anything. Everyone else in the tank is fine...icluding a few other softies.
Please note where the coral is attached to the rock, it does not look too good to me. Do I need to take this thing out, or let it go and see what happens?

you may try to cut off the dead portion and reattach it to a rock, but i seen this type of thing before and it usally is fatal, i am not sure what it is.

I agree, frag it, well ahead of the necrotic tissue.

I appreciate the advice. What, in your opinion, is the best way to frag a softie?

I would recommend using a new clean razorblade. If possible you might want to frag the colt in a bowl of tank water outside of the display... colts have been known to "slime" everywhere when fragged.
