Considering Nuking My 240g With Copper

I have a 240g FOWLR with 13 fish. I have been QTing everything with copper in a separate 55g. Everything looked fine for a while but my Atlantic Blue Tang started showing spots and looks bad...now others are showing spots as well. I do not feel that removing that many fish and putting them in a 55g will work while the DT is fallow, so my only option seems to be going with copper in the DT. What should I be aware of going this route? There are no inverts. I assume pods will die off and possibly cause a spike. There is Chaeto in the sump.

I doubt you would ever see any parameter changes from pods dying in such a large water column. I never suggest using copper based meds in the display due to it leaching into the rock, but if you aren't able to set up a solid hospital tank then I'm not sure I can offer any better options for you. Since it is a FOWLR system it wouldn't do much harm.

That's too bad.

There is Cuprisorb you can use when you're done with the treatment, just for future peace of mind.
