I have had my saltwater tank running for about 3 months. I have had a percula clown since the beginning without any problems. Recently (3 weeks ago) I added a pink tipped haitian anemone. All was well until this morning when i found the anemone with all its tentacles retracted and the clown was missing. after a long search, the clown was found dead underneath the anemone (?). i was wondering how this happened? any advice would be appreciated. thanks

It is possible the anemone stung and killed the clown. Condylactus are not host anemones and have a very potent sting, if the clown was did not acclimate itself to the anemone and just "dove in", it could have been killed by the anemone. Contrary to popular belief, clowns are not immune to the anemones sting, rather the clown incorporates the anemones mucus into it's own slime coating and basically becomes invisible to the anemone.
