Dead goby

My watchman goby appeared to be dead. He is stuck underneath a live rock and I cannot remove him without removing several rocks. What do I do? Does the dead fish float after some time?

Well, if you are sure he is dead, you use a bent wire coat hanger to pull him out... Stinks though... sorry to hear about your goby

Keep a check on your water too.

If you have a good clean-up crew they will take care of it. It is always recommended to remove any dead fish when you see them.

"good clean-up crew will take care of it" - Gosh...

I removed few rocks and retrieved the dead fish.

I wonder why he gave up. I got him two weeks ago and rarely saw him after I put him in the tank. I think he spent most of his time under the rock and perhaps starved to death.
