I put a new peppermint shrimp in my tank Saturday night and it was dead Sunday morning. Could it be my crab that killed it? All water parameters seemed normal I tested it right after I take the dead shrimp out. Any clue? Thanks.

Are you sure it is not a molt. They look just like a dead shrimp. IT is not uncommon for newly acclimated shrimp to molt. Peppermints like to hide under rocks so it could just be hiding out waiting for it's new exoskeleton to harden.

i would have to agree with lando here...
mine molted within a few days of introduction to my tank. all 4 of them.

You are lucky to see yours, I recently introduced 2 (2 inch and 1 inch) last week. Havent seen em since..! I also doubt they are dead.. I'd check your SG, but if that is fine it should be a molt..

I have 12 peppermints in my tank. There is not a single time I look in the tank that I do not see at least one usually more.
