Three, huh. Oh well, live and learn. the problem with these products is that they do not prepare the tank for a long-term bioload. They may help the tank cycle more quickly but when fish are added in the recommeded time frame (24hrs) water parameters begin to degrade quickly. There is simply not enough biological filtration built up to handled the new bioload. There is no way to cycle a new tank quickly (unless you use all establihed LR and LS, and filter media from another tank). It just takes time. However, after an appropriate 4-6week cycle, you can begin adding fish at a reasonable pace without change in water parameters.
 
Readings for what in particular? I think that stuff is only adding live bacteria to the tank, something test kits can't read anyway.
