disinfectanting QT tanks?

I move my butterfly to a ten gallon tank for treatment of ich. He was originally in a twenty when he contracted the disease. I would like to move him back but fear the ich is still in the twenty gal and he would get reinfected. Is it ok to use bleach to clean the tank, and if not why? Also what else can i do to disinfect it?

Absolutely. Just make sure you rinse, rinse, rinse. Don't want any left over bleach in there.

Just as in city tap water, the chlorine will leave on it's own, just dry the tank and let it stand a few hours.
