Hate to tell you...but that is a royal gamma. You can tell from the fins, especially the big black spot up top.

Well there are 3 fish with almost the exact same look, the royal gamma basslet, bicolor dottyback, and blue eyed royal dottyback. Easiest way to tell the difference is the fins. Bicolor has a long top fin that has solid color, blue eyes fins aren't very colorful...but the blue eyes give it away, and the royal gamma has a tall top fin with the big spot up front...and his other fins are totally different but it doesn't really matter that much...I only knew because I have a royal gamma in my tank and said that wasn't right...so i double checked on liveaquaria lol.

All depends on the fish. I have a dottyback and she gets along splendidly with my chromie and clown. Now, the laid back hawkfish was a terror. You just never know.

I can't tell if it is raised a little by the picture or not but it could be ich or it could be a small injury. Keep an eye on it and make sure your water is parameters are good.
