!!! EMERGENCY.... URCHIN DUMPED WHITE STUFF IN BAG !!!!

just acclimated for four hours and went to put urchin in tank and it squeezed out all this white stuff into the bag. what should i do next?

I hope it just pooped!!!
i removed it from the bag and rinsed it in tank water that i removed and placed in a bucket and then placed the urchin in the tank. I think i will leave my carbon in one more day. this thing can be poisoness to its room mates if not carefull, right?

Not that I'm aware of, unless it sticks them with spines. It sounds like it pooped, or possibly released sperm.

i was under the impression that urchins can ooze some type of toxic substance. especially when dead

sperm!!! i got it on my hands!!!
i wonder if an urchin can release sperm as some type of defense mechanism?

sperm makes more sense than poop. im sure that i would have read that an urchin totaly clouds the water every time it poops. i searched around for some explanation and could find none.
