I purchased a feather duster from saltwaterfish.com along with a coral banded shrimp and a sally lighfoot crab. The tube of the feather duster appears to be deteriorating in the middle section. I put the duster between 2 rocks, he has been wide open since I put him in the tank and I have not observed any aggression towards it. I did however observe a pile of very small light brown balls of what I think are feces and larger redish balls scattered around the duster. In the tank already is a yellow reidi seahorse 2 brittle stars a bunch of hermits/snails an emerald crab and a scooter blennie. pH 8.4 Ammonia 0.0 Nitrite 0.0 Nitrate undetectable. What would cause this? Any predators of dusters??
