File fish

I guys I bought a file fish the other day put it in my tank with my other fish, seemed fine
Got home from work today and it was on its side alive, I gave taken it out and put it
Into quarantine don't fancy it's chances, is this common

no, it's not common assuming your lfs has had it healthy all this time before you got it. how long have you had the tank? and what are the parameter readings of the water?

Another question did you just sling the fish into your tank from your LFS's water?
