Fin scars from Ich

I recently had an Ich outbreak which has since cleared up. My Porcupine Puffer was pretty bad with ich all over his body and fins. All the ich is gone, but he still has white spots on his fins. There are no granular looking things, so I think they are scars. Is this possible? He acts fine and isn't scratching at all.

What did you do to cure the Ich? It drops off as part of it's life cycle, so if it was not eliminated, there is a chance that it is still on it. I've never had puffers (but want one), so I'm not sure if they can get scars. Usually once Ich is gone, there are not marks afterwards, but puffers aren't typical fish.
