Just bought a niger trigger and its been in a small
Nook in my rock since I put it in.
Ive done a little research and I guess its some what normal
Because they are shy after being relocated into a new enviroment.
If he does come out I am thinking of removing all
Hiding spots untill it gets comfortable.
What do you think?

I just dont want to forget about it and have it die

Maybe possible shock?
All fish are fine except the trigger.
Also heard they bite pretty good

Any info on triggers is greatly appreciated

Leave the hiding spots
He should get used to his new home and will start to come out more. Also try to move slow around the tank so as not to spook him. When feeding I try to hang around so the fish equate people with food seems to have worked great with my new fish although they are still rather camera shy.

I put a Niger trigger in my tank about a month ago. He was doing the samething for the first 2 weeks. I had to be sneaky around feeding times to get him to eat. Now he swims around like he owns the tank. He is still shy around people though. Just give it some time

Do not move any rocks. It'll only upset him more to take away hiding places as you suggested. If he's healthy, he'll come around. Lots of new fish hide for the first days.
