I guess I'm pretty fortunate. I can think of two LFS ten minutes from my house with healthy fish, average prices, and staff that will drop what they are doing to answer questions and give advice comparable to what you'll see here at AA.

On the other hand, there is a dive of a LFS right around the corner from my house that I will never buy fish from. Although if I discover I'm low on water conditioner in the middle of a water change, I can go there and be back before the water is done draining!

I've bought all my fish from Petco. As bad as that sounds, they're all very healthy and have been doing great for 6 months
