So they can open up fully, they will attach and grow a stalk in a couple days-weeks.

so they came attached to a rock will they go off that rock and move onto my live rock?

I've never had one move... Once they attach they ate pretty anchored. I wouldn't move them if they are already attached cause they become a bit of a pain to find a new place where they won't fall or get knocked off the rock before they attach
