I've got this coral from the lfs about a month ago. It's had this brownish tint to it at the bottom ever since I've got is that normal? Also is it normal to have a clear frogspawn? The mouth area is green and when I put on the blue lighting it looks like a light green.

Here are some pics

No that is not normal, your lfs either bleached it with to strong if lighting or IMO the more likely thing they did was keep it in a very shady area so that it lost all it's algae and they could sell it as a "white frogspawn" which doesn't exist. If it will accept some target feeding of small meaty foods I would try that until it gains it's algae back. For future reference white lps are a bad sign

Ahhh gotcha I understand now. Thank you for the information. I'm kinda new to corals soo I try to do as much research before I buy one. Right now I use a par 38 do you think that could bleach it over time also? Its a dimmable one soo I usually keep it at 70%. I'll be getting a kessil sometime soon.

Do you think the color will come back if I feed it chunks of some food?

What size tank? I highly doubt a par would bleach it so you should be ok. It appears to like its location as it does have pretty good polyp extension so let it be and it should color back up. Try spot feeding but if it doesn't accept the food just let it be and watch it.

Try some mysis or maybe some really small pellet, but don't go crazy as your adding excess nutrients to your water.

It's a 15 gallon tall. Ok I'll see if it will take some mysis tonight. Thanks for your advice bigred!!
