If this coral requires moderate to strong light AND being placed on a sandy substrate...where do you compromise?

Currently mine is on a 4inch DSB. Tank light is PC 80%Actinic 20% full spec. 10 hrs per day at approximately 4 watts per gallon. Thanks.

strong light on sandy bottom = MH over a shallow tank )

Put it on the bottom, it should be fine, it is equally, if not more so, important that it be kept on the proper substrate as the lighting.
