I'm battling this nasty stuff again and I'm losing my patience this time iv been doing more water changes feeding less using only to water my friend has suggested we pull out most of my rock scrub it and dip it in ro water would this be advisable

It can be. Could also use Kent to bring your mag up. I've never tried it personally, but others have had success with it.

Ah okay thanks I am planning to get the best test kits possible in a few weeks I hate the api ones so I can test my mag iv got a brand new pack of Red Sea reef foundation A but I'm pretty sure it's only calcium

You need to use Kent Tech-M to raise the mag, not just any mag additive, from what i've read. It's supposed to be very effective.

Not as long as it is gradual and monitored.
