I was at the LFS today and saw a pink goniopora coral. It was absolutely stunning. I really wanted to buy it but thought I would read up on it first. Now I'm really bummed out. I've skimmed through articles and it appears to be a really difficult coral to keep beyond a year or so. I've read that it appears to do better in less than pristine water. It seems like it's a crap shoot. These corals seem to die of nutrional deficiencies but they aren't sure what is lacking.
I'm posting this in the sick fish/coral section because I wouldn't want to buy it and end up killing it. Any experience with this coral? Should I just cross it off the list and forget about it?
