Green hair algae killing star pollops.
Not sure how to treat this.
A. Remove pollops and rub with tooth brush. B. Remove pollops and put in bucket with many very hungry hermit crabs. C. Remove pollops and put in bucket with out light. D. Treat with med. I don't have hair algae anywhere else in my 150 gal tank except on this pollop. It was doing so well and growing so fast. Now it won't open and has grass algea all over it. Thanks |

Read this. Excellent battle plan for nuisance algea.
FantasyReef Databases-Viewing item "10 Step Plan for Nuisance Algae Control" As far as polyps I would just try to remove as much as you can by hand then follow the plan. |
