HELP!! Cloudy thingy on my clownfish

Does anyone have any idea what is coating my clownfish. It's hard to explain but it's white and looks kinda like she's gone through a spider web. a little piece of it is also really close to one of her eye... I noticed this the day after I put her in the tank and I think now she has more on her body... I keep wishing she'd get near my cleaner shrimp as I am sure the shrimp will get rid of it. Nothing else wrong with clownfish otherwise, eats well, swims actively, fins down (the one on her back)... Sorry to bother, but i need to know what it is and if I should cure her. Thank YOU!!
Yours truly,
evenings GF.

You said the dorsal fin is down, not sticking up?

Yes, her fins are down, unlike the other clownfish I have who is just in her own little happy world with all fins standing and looking exceptionally healthy.

OK I read about the Brooklynella... I doubt that is it, the scales on her body are intact... her fins are fine. It's just really this webby thing that seems to be entangled on her... and with the movement she's making, I'm surprised it's still on her body.

How big is your tank?

What else have you got in there?

How long has she been in your tank?

What are you feeding her?

Has she ever eaten?

What are your water parameters?

:p

What are you feeding her? frozen shrimp, started her on flakes and pellets last night

I'd probably have said putting the 3 fish in at the same time would be a bad idea because of bioload...but if you've had no ammonia since, it looks to be ok. Have you checked your test results with another test, or taken a water sample to your LFS?

Any rapid breathing pointing up at the surface, etc.?

Don't know...steve-s, reefrunner?

Evenings, you may also want to consider velvet. Is you clown wild caught or tank raised?
