I have had two sand sifting gobies and they both turned black and died. One lasted about a month and the other 2 weeks. I have tested the water and everything has come out fine. I have the live bacteria sand in my tank and Im not sure if thats the problem. I can't find anything about this on the internet and i need help.

How long has your tank been set up? They need a established sand bed as you already know, and thats probably why they died? What type?

we have had our tank for about 4 months now. we had a dimond watch man goby and a sleeper gold head goby

Both of those gobies eat from the sandbed. 4 months isn't a whole lot of time for food to grow in the sand for them. I would wait awhile before getting another sand sifter or you could get a goby that doesn't rely on the sandbed for food. :)
