Help red starfish

I Have had my red starfish for about 1year he was always moving around my tank but the last couple days he havnt moved from the same spot on the sand he sometimes only moves 1 leg. Everything was good untill this week. plz any advise would be great. Thanks

Could be that it just found a spot with plentiful food.

I hope so lol.. Just tested my water nitrate 20ppm could that be harming him? Going to buy r.o water tomorrow

It is my understanding that invertebrates are much more sensitive to nitrate than fish. The 20 ppm reading could be a problem for your star. Buying RO water would be a good idea.

It's possible. My nitrates spiked and I have a star who is thriving, they're at like 100....... Ik.......... I'm trying believe me. Hopefully yours gets better.

It Still not moving much, ive done a water change but cant see any improvements. Hopefully hes just found a good spot in the tank
