im getting really sick and tired of ich. i lost most of my fish last time and only got to save my clown. i waited about 5 weeks before i put fish back in and they got ich again its like the third time it happens since ive started saltwater.im just gonna sell my 33 gal and buy my friends 75 gal. start over and take it really slow any suggestions on how i should transfer all my stuff?i got about 40 lbs of lr and 40 lbs of aragonite , 16 hermits and a clownfish. i wasnt gonna use any of my old water.
ps my 33 gal is about 3 months old

Doa search on moving tanks (move AND tank). There a a ton of posts that deal with moving tanks.

Well the ich will reside on your rock and substrate in its dormant state, thats where the fallow period comes in. Did you remove the clown during the 5 weeks? Even 1 fish in the tank is a potential host.
I would try keeping the clown out for a longer period. When I went through a velvet treatment I left it void of fish for 8 weeks. It did the trick for me.

Buy your friends tank, use your 33 gallon for a QT tank, you can probably cycle your new tank with the clown and treat your old tank over the cycle time of the new one.

Then you might want to read up on >>Cryptocaryon irritans<< (marine ich) instead.
Ichthyophthirius Multifiliis is the FW variety and the two may have similarities but do not behave the same.
