my puffer is still recovering from what I beleive to be a bacterial infection.
he has not eaten in almost 2 weeks. he is still very active. he usually eats like a pig everyday so this really concerns me.
how long can a sick fish go without eating?

Hard to say in fish. I've seen puffers go several weeks, but bacterial infections can further weaken them and at a faster rate. Look at the stomach and see if there is a noticeable indention. Try enriched ghost shrimp or create a "cookie" with shrimp, squid, fish, mysis, krill, nori, vitamin supp., etc. and see if it entices it.
