i am picking up a fish that has been at the fish store for two weeks in a copper treated system. he has been eating and looks great. how long should i QT him at home?

At least four weeks. IF you need to treat I would stretch it out to six. Ask the LFS if the fish is done with the treatment or if you will need to continue it at home.

Is treating their system with copper standard or did he have some ailment that they were curing? What kind of fish is it? Tangs I would QT no matter what and for a long time. Most other things I struggle to make it past 3 weeks with.

Good luck.

they use copper as a standard additive to thier fish system. i guess i am just wondering how long you QT fish if they are not sick. i am guessing 3-4 weeks
