I just tested it high range ph is 8.0 ammonia is 0 nitrites 0 and nitrates down to 49 ppm woohoo on my way down

Have you stirred anything up at all? Or a powerhead needs adjusting, angle wise?

Well since you just redid the sump you shouldn't have had any detritus that you stirred up. I guess it could be a bacteria bloom too
