Ich?

I believe my scopas tang has some ich on him. It's impossible to get a picture but there are 3 little white dots on him.

So if it is. How should I go about treating it. It is a reef tank. No corals yet though.

I'm going to add a uv to the tank also

If it is ich, there is honestly only two treatments, and both will kill any inverts, so you will need to remove your fish from the display and put them in QT.

1. Hyposalinity treatment

2. Copper treatment

I myself am doing the hyposalinity treatment right now. It sucks, but I don't want any more fish to die. And it's recommended to treat all of your fish, not just the one with spots.

Some good links I found helpful, if you haven't already seen them:

The ich looks much much better today. I can see three slight bumps but no white specs anymore. So hopefully it is going away

You can try using Stability if you think the ammonia and such will spike with the addition of the tang(s). You can get it at PetSmart/Petco.

Also, just a heads up - ich doesn't go away. There are different parts to their life cycle. Initially you can see them on the fish (white spots), then they rupture and fall off, usually during the night. They go to the substrate and essentially "breed" and double/triple in numbers. Then they swim back up and reattach to your fish, but a whole lot more.

I would definitely read up on ich. They never just go away on their own; especially if there is still a food supply (i.e. fish in the tank).
