Ich in my saltwater tank

Well that was fast. On Friday she was swimming and eating and seeming to do okay. Then yesterday she disappeared and wouldn't come out of her hiding spot. Then today I wake up and she is dead.

I was surprised because with my fresh fish they usually linger for days. She did not have a lot of spots on her, maybe they were inside.

Lesson learned. I have never been a good one for QT but with marine fish costing more, I think I will set up a QT tank next time. Now I have to hope the the b/w ocellaris that is in there can fight it.

If you have a QT you are now setting up remove existing fish into the QT and treat and leave DT fallow.

Doing it that way will rid your system of it just be aware as already said it can get back into a DT through any wet item that comes from another tank.
