Hi, we have a 55-gallon saltwater tank. I have noticed a white sugary dusting on the fins of our yellow tang which we got about two weeks ago. I'm assuming this is ich. I've read about the different treatments for ich and lowering the salinity seems like the best option for me. I wondered if you could tell me if this would be safe for what is in our tank.

Yellow Tang
Scooter Blenny
Dwarf Lion Fish
Snowflake Eel
Two Sand-Sifting Stars
Coral Skeletons
Regular Sand (not live)

Thanks in advance for any help.

I've already read what you suggested; that's how I decided that salinity would be the best. I just wasn't sure about the eel and the starfish. Thanks for your response; it's appreciated.
