do not attempt to lower the salinity in a few hours you need to do it over two to three days

,,correct,,you can even put the fish into hypo immediately ..

Tonedogz ,yes ,,that is normal protocol for hypo..
It has been proven over and over that putting fish into hypo immediately is just fine..I have done it this way for years ,and thats after i do a FW dip..

There are a million and one articles about hypo out there ,,I actually never seen the one you linked ,but its fine too..
Heres a good one from the guys at WWM
hypoOSTtherapyart.htm
from the article "Kollman found the low salinity system reduced his previously high mortality rates and that his dealership was able to greatly reduce chemical treatments and subsequent overdoses (Kollman, 1998). He concluded that a salinity of 14 to 15 ppt (1.010-1.011 SG) was an effective treatment level to which fish can be immediately transferred with no special acclimation procedures (Kollman, 1998).

yes ft you can probable find a few but the majority would suggest a longer period. Just didn't want to see him make a mistake and kill off his fish cause he's not really sure how to proceed.I still like ya though
