injured brittle star

I received some live rock today and there were several injured brittle stars in the rock. They were still moving so I'm trying to find a way to keep them alive.

For now I put them in my refuge. Is this a good place for them to go? My main tank has hermits so I think that they'll most likely become dinner. I had one in my refuge and he was on the first star in 30 seconds so I put him back in the main tank.

My refuge is new (about 1.5 weeks) so I'm worried that there might not be enough for them to eat there.

Any suggestions?

Make sure you feed them. They should recover. Brittles are very hardy.

Whats the best thing to feed brittle stars?

I useually use some shrimp.
