I recently purchased some LR at a LFS. One particular LR had a Tube Worm/Feather Duster attached to it. I wasn't charged for the Duster so that was good but it was damaged during it's removal from the tank it was in. It's torn about 3/4 of it's tube. It's only hanging on by a thread.

My question is: Is the Duster dead? There doesn't seem to be any feathers coming out from the tube. Should I just rip off the rest of the Duster or should I leave it alone? Will the Duster repair itself or is it too late? The Duster still is attached at the base of the LR.

Any info would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The tube is torn although almost off. I guess I'll leave it because I still see the worm attached on the LR.

Thanks for the advice.
