I have a green star polyp frag. It's been looking great and all of a sudden, yesterday it did this. I checked and all my water parameters are good. What happened ?

Yes. Water always tests good. Would it hurt to do a 20% water change every other day for a week just to see if it helps with the algae growth?

Snails, sea hair (rent or borrow if you can) and phosguard. I nuked my algae problem with that. Specifically hair algae. Emerald crabs helped me a lot as well. I've also noticed that my GSP and Duncan's will close up while growing new heads or flesh. So keep that in mind for the future.

Find the source of the algae and your coral will come back, reduce feeding, light cycle and increase water changes. Do you use ro-di water? How much do you feed and how often?
