Sorry I don't a lot about salt water tanks I know the fish are harder & more specialist I have a fresh water tank

No when I bought him he was in a piece of PVC tube to hold him that how all the frags are at lfs, right now he is just stuck in a hole

Have you been able to rule out water quality problems. What are your water test saying?

Yes water is fine, everything else looks great. Hammer, mushrooms, misc polyps, halimeda, gorgonian, caulerpa, candy cane and Haitian anemone.

If the polyps are open and it looks full I wouldn't worry too much,it's probably just getting use to the tank, water parameters. Might have been different from where you got it from.Colt's are very hardy as most soft corals are

the lights at the store were probably stronger so he will need time to re adjust to light
how did you introduce it to the tank

+1..I had the same problem with everything in my tank when I switched from metal halide to LED's...only softies I have are ricordeas

Put the whole bag in the water with lights off for 30 min, then put a little water in the bag let sit for another 15 min. Stuck his base in a rock on the sand bed and started turning lights on slowly actinics first then hour later 10,000ks. I've even moving him closer to the top since I got him, now he is at the top of the tank.

Lights at the lfs are 1w whites and .5w blue LEDs in an 18" deep tank with frags all the way at the bittom
