It may not be able too, was the anemone attatched to anything in the store?
If it's foot was damaged during collection or when the LFS pulled it out of the tank, it may not be able to attatch. FWIW, they like to bury their foot in the substrate. Perhaps dig it a hole and put it in it in an area of low to med flow giving it access to the bottom of the tank, see if that helps.
Thanks for the help. It wasn't attached to anything in the store, but they also didn't have it for very long. I've been waiting weeks to get a hold of one but they would sell them so fast, so I got them to hold one so I could snatch it. They only had one for me when I got there, so I didn't have a selection...
