Is this clam ok?

I have only had it a week. And yesterday it was fully open looking good and today it looks a bit sad! No changes made.

The only thing I noticed was my skimmer was skimming really aggressively.

Can you tell us more about the system? The mantle isn't extending fully, so that is a sign of things not going as intended.

Yes, it's 550litre 2 year old tank! 6x t5 lights.

Mg 1400
Phosphate 0
Nitrates 0

There are a few tony starfish on its shell. Should I remove these?
