I've bought a finger coral a week ago and it did look great, in the last couple of days it has been slowly deteriorating, not sure what to do can anyone help please? See pictures for before and after if that helps?

8.3ph, 15ppm Nitrates, 0 Nitrites, salinity 1.024

Lower the nitrates, up the salinity to .026, and lower the coral. Leathers do not need to be at the top of the tank. What lighting are you running?

3 X T5 (2 white and 1 blue) and 1 blue Led which stays on all the time.

Thanks mate, would you recommend a water change or just adding some salt to the water?

Ok thanks, I normally buy buckets of salt water and RO from my local dealer, do you think it would be best to just take our 25% and replace with saltwater rather than RO, that should increase the salinity, sorry, I'm a bit of an amateur!

You could let some water evaporate and replace THAT with salted water. This would raise the overall salinity.

Thanks for all your advice just 24 hours later and look at the difference!
