Jawfish tailfin injured?

This is the pearly jawfish in question.. I never had one before but always wanted one. The LFS' never carried them, so I never knew what they actually looked like besides photos on the internet. I finally broke down and ordered one. Question is: Does his tail naturally look like that? Is he injured? I was on liveaquaria.com and their photos dont show a split tail fin like mine. Is this normal?

looks like a small injury, if he can still burrow he should be fine.

Ah I wish I would have paid better attention when I got him. Couldn't tell until he started swimming around the tank. could've taken him back for a price reduction. Now i'm not sure if it was another fish/invert or if he came that way :/
