kenya tree never looks good

Hi I have this kenya tree for 2 months and it never looks good it's always looking grey somtimes it might be up straight and the same with my toadstool but my other corals are always looking good I thought soft corals were easier? I find my lps and sps are easier to take care of.

SPS and softies are the exact opposite. I had a kenya tree that did well for quite some time until I began perfecting what I was doing with my tank so I could have LPS and SPS. With my water close to pristine, the kenya tree and mushroom leather began doing poorly and eventually died. I look at them as needing water that is a tad "dirty".

If that is the case, I'd be testing my water and investigating to the reason why they aren't looking well.
