How effective is this treatment? Will this work in conjunction to Hypo salinity?

I would not do both together. Do one or the other but not both.

I personally would do the hypo. Alot of fish will not be able to handle formalin. JMO

Why do you want to dose Formalin? You could do both in separate vessels, as in a Formalin bath in a bucket depending on the need for it.
