Lifespan of Damsels?

How long to fish usually live? Specifically blue damsel and yellow tail damsel. I lost my blue damsel a couple of weeks ago and now my yellow tail is hiding(not his usual place), gasping, not moving much. All other fish seem fine. Last time I checked water it was fine.

what is "fine" as far as water chemistry? Please post real numbers that are from recent tests.

"Fine" is I take it to the LFS and they run the tests and tell me the levals are right where they should be or "whoa are there fish still swimming in your tank". The last time I took in a sample was right after my blue damsel died.

I think without the numbers, we would just be guessing, and any guess is a good one. I am pretty sure it wasn't just at the end of its lifespan tho.
