My lion fish lost his antenna's all of a sudden. He's acting weird too. Pushing into the glass and swimming around more than he usually does. My numbers haven't chagned at all. He ate about 3 hours ago and seemed just fine. What would cause him to lose his antennas?

What kind of lion? If this is a Volitan than yes they can loose them and it should be fine. I am not sure about other types but will check in to it for you just let me know what kind of lion. My Volitans are loosing them right now.

What size tank and what is housed with your lion?

Thanks for the reply. It is a Volitan lion. It is a 75gal FO LR. A picasso & niger trigger. Fiji puffer, snowflake eel, damsel, pourcupine puffer.

I would keep an eye on the puffers and picasso, they are known to pick at lions. They can pick the fins off a lion and eventually kill it, so I would just watch them to make sure its a natural loss and not being picked at.
