long nose butterfly fish help!

My long nose butterfly fish was done with the quarantine and was healthy as a sea horse.. he was eating like a boss! But as soon as i dropped him in the display tank (of couse i did drip acclimated him dont worry) he started to bash himself!! against the glass of the 125g aquarium that ive had for about a year now. But of course he died i found him with deep gashes on his side with red marks. I think the long nose scraped himself on the live rock. The cleaner shrimp was eating him after i came from work:\ i put him in last night and today sadly it died i think he was angry at his reflection or something.. if you know anything about this please i wanna know what happend maybe something else to the way he was acting.. no agressive fish by the way..
