Came home today to find our smallest perc on the carpet. I only have the very corner of the tank (about 2"X4" area) open for equipment and cords to get into the main, he found the spot. Poor little guy, had him for a year.
He was the smallest and the family favorite.
Thank goodness my kids didn't find him. 8O

I'm so sorry! Dealing with a loss is never easy, especially when you have to break it to kids.

They know already. I don't want to put another in the mix. I'm afraid the rest of my clowns would beat one up too bad.
Thanks all. Watch them lids. :|

Not sure if anything scared him but I have had several of them jump into my built in overflows, so I guess they are susceptable. We all learn from experiences...so I my new stance is they can be jumpers.

Or you can use eggcrate. You can get it from HD. I use it on my qt tank.

I wonder if they are less likely to jump if hosting an anemone
Interesting theory. It probably would keep them on the bottom more. My 2 bigger perc hang around the bottom more, but this little guy loved to be near the top. They all sleep on the top.
