Low alk/ca cause corals to die or just not grow?

Due to some problems in my life I haven't been devoting quite the attention to my aquarium that it needs. 2 of my acros and my one montipora are not doing well, bleeching etc... I know my alk/ca levels are not up to par but I only got the corals a couple weeks ago so I'm not sure if they just didn't acclimate well or my alk/ca levels are killing them?

Do you have a test kit to measure the alk and calcium? SPS corals rely on the calcium to build the skelital base of the coral as well as maintan the existing base. So prolonged levels of low calcium could lead to a deteration of the coral.

I do have test kits for both, however the last few weeks I've been neglecting my tank due to some other problems that have not allowed me the time necessary to focus on my tank. I knowmy levels are not up to par....
