Maxima clam

Hey,

My maxima clams mantle is coming out, except for one of its "folds". I've had him for a year. This is the first time this has happened. He did get knocked over in the sand bed recently. What's going on?

Keep an eye on it. If it was knocked over it might be a one time deal rather than pinched mantle. If it continues, do a freshwater dip on the clam. Make sure to give it a good shake in the water and put it back into the tank when done after a good burping.

Wow, that's a long time. I've only done one fw dip before. Besides using dechlorinated fresh water, do I do anything else? Do I need to do anything else?

Read about protozoans, decided to dip the clam. I did it last night. He made it through fine, and opened up. How long until I can tell if it worked? When should I see his health improve? What should I be looking out for?
