Meteor shower turning brown and possibly dying

Hey, I got a meteor shower the other week and it was doing great in my tank bounced back from not looking the greatest to being brightly colored but in the last two days a chunk of it has turned brown and the polups stopped coming out, they might still be there but I can't see them



I'm still new to this so I have no idea what is going on and I'm nervous



The only recent addition was a small Rbta but unless it moves up about 12 inches and then back to its same spot before I get home I don't think this is the cause of it

Note: it is placed in the skeleton of an old coral as I was hoping it would gradually form around that and become a really cool centerpiece

What are your current parameters? What is the tank size? What kind of lighting is over the tank?
