I recently have set up my SeaClone protein skimmer in my tank and it has not made any brown junk in the collection cup and is spewing out micro-bubbles into my tank. I have tried changing the amount of air going into the skimmer, but if I change it up any more the collection cup overflows with water and if I change it down I feel that the amount of bubbles it too little.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix it?

If you recently added it to your set up it will take a week or two for it to start working right. As far as the micro bubbles as long as it is making the water cloudy I never had issues with them.

I had one when I got into the hobby early. Things are junk.
Open up the airline as far as it’ll go and let it start to settle in.
As for the bubbles, they are created by the water falling into the tank. I used panty hose to ‘break’ the fall until I upgraded.
